Rule 290.15 - Pre-Entry Drawn Order Pre-entries may possibly be accepted before 9.00am providing that the number of entries are less than 60 (with the exception of County shows). Once entries reach 60 before 9.00am the class will be closed. Any entries taken on the day must compete first in the drawn order.

Judges: Helen Tredwell and David Gatherer Entries are limited to 2 horses per owner in each section and 2 horses per rider in each section. SIMPLE SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY, running martingales permitted. Boots, whips and spurs must comply with the current BS rules for Young Horse classes. Horses will be asked to jump a round of 8-10 fences. Each jump will be awarded a mark out of 10. Rideability, conformation and scope will be judged to a maximum of 30 points.

The winner of the International Stairway League must be a starter in the International Stairway League Final. In addition the winner of the International Stairway League Final will be crowned the British Showjumping National champion for a twelve month period. There will be 3 HOYS Wildcards allocated after the International Stairway League Final. The allocation of Wild Cards (N.B Wild Cards will only be awarded to riders currently eligible to compete on a Great Britain Showjumping Team) will be made in the following order of preference: To the winner of the International Stairway League (must have started in the Stairway League Final) To the winner of the International Stairway League Final To the winner of the National Championship Show League 1. 2. 3. Should the winner of any of the above not be eligible to compete on a Great Britain Showjumping Team or have already qualified for HOYS via an International invitation, the Wildcard will go down the line to the next eligible rider on the respective league, or placing if in the International Stairway League Final. This class will be balloted as per Regulation 9. DOUBLE YOUR MONEY The first, second and third in this class will jump again in reverse order, with the winner doubling their original prize-money.

In the event of equality, faults and time will decide, i.e. the fastest four faulters will qualify. All scores in the first round will be carried forward to the second round. Competitors in the second round will start in reverse order of merit or the slowest four faulter will go first, the faster clear last. If necessary, those who do not reach the second round, faults and time in the first round will determine their placings. If a competitor withdraws from the second round he/she will not be replaced and he/she will receive the placing from the first round, however he/she will be placed after those who compete in the second round.

Ian Lovett Memorial Trophy for the winner. Presented by Mrs. Carolynne Lovett, Bossholes Farm, Rickarton, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire. FOR QUALIFIED HORSE/RIDER COMBINATIONS of any grade to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior members excluding riders listed on the British Showjumping Gold League. Entry Fee: £45.00, which must be paid at time of entry Entries will be limited to a maximum of 2 qualified horses per rider, and to riders not competing in any Open Class of 1.40m or above. Under Table "A10". Start Height of fences 1.25m. Speed 350mpm

For registered horses ridden by adult, associate or junior members. British Showjumping Rule 274, Speed 375 metres per minute. Approximate Height of Fences – 1.35m. Accumulator with Joker. This competition takes place over six, eight or 10 obstacles which are progressively more difficult. No combination obstacles are allowed. The progressive difficulty is not solely due to the height and spread of the obstacles, but also to the difficulty of the track. Points are awarded as follows: One point for obstacle No. 1 cleared, two points for No. 2, three points for No. 3 etc. with total of 21, 36 or 55 points. No point is awarded for an obstacle knocked down. Faults other than knock-downs are penalised as for Table A and any of these faults, including time faults, are converted into points and deducted from any jumping points scored. In the event of equality of points for first place, there will be a jump-off against the clock over a shortened course, over obstacles that may be increased in height and/or spread. The obstacles in the jump-off must be jumped in the same order as in the first round and retain their respective points allotted in the first round. This competition may also take place directly against the clock. For the last obstacle of the course, an alternative obstacle may be provided, of which one part may be designated the Joker. The Joker must be more difficult than the alternative obstacle and carry double points. If the Joker is knocked down, the points must be deducted from the total.

To be ridden by Junior Members. Under Table "A10 with Special Rules". Speed 350 metres per minute. Start height of fences in first round 1.20m. Entry Fee: £45.00, which must be paid at time of entry The best five scores, or, if necessary, all clear rounds, will go forward to the second round which will be against the clock.
